We posted on this site before about the effects and pros of using imitation outdoor home security cameras to deter crime. We’ve deducted that these are better than no hone security at all but maybe not as efficient as a cheap security camera or a full blown real system. But seeing as the economy isn’t showing any improvement this still is a viable option. u said that surveillance camera can protect u from thieft,burglars and so on.. they are nice think to feel safe.but dont u think that they are interrupting our privacy
I agree that some security is better than no security. Because these cost a fraction of what a real home security system costs they are affordable to a broader audience.

It is really appreciable idea that make a fake security camera looking same as the original. It is very cheap as original and people are buying this one most because when anybody placed outside their home or business then most criminals will think that the premises is guarded by a high-tech surveillance system and it save our property with less expenditures.

I’ve always been dubious of the imitation ones however this one does look pretty official. It’s not the type that looks fake as it almost looks to techy to be real if that makes sense!
This dome dummy camera is designed to imitate the small, high tech security camera is very nice.
It is really important that we are making sure that are home is safe. I love the idea a putting a dummy security camera because at least we can say that we have done something for our own safety. Though having a real security camera would be best. Is there any surveys conducted to prove the effectiveness of this gadget? I would really be glad to know the result.

The best thing about using the fake surveillance system is the cost involved. Dummy security cameras have many advantages and can work effectively if used in the correct way.
So… what if someone does break into your house because they didn’t notice the dummy security camera? Surely that would cause an even worse situation. The whole point for alarm systems is to surprise and therefore scare the burgler who is breaking in. A dummy camera doesn’t look very scary – more of a nuisence. But still if it works it works!

Is there a need to use the dummy camera if we can purchase a real one only at a slightly higher additional cost?
Security systems with cameras are so inexpensive now, why bother with fake ones to protect your home? Given that a house is usually the biggest purchase anyone will make in their lifetime, it makes sense to spend a little more money to protect your investment, not to mention your family.
