What is Home Security
Security is defined as the degree of protection against danger, loss, and criminals. Home Security is the protection of your home against danger, loss, and criminals. Danger could be fire or anything else that could harm your family or guests while in the home. Loss could be the loss of something valuable as important papers, money, or property within your home. Criminals could fall into the first two categories because they are dangerous to persons inside your home and they can cause you loss by taking or damaging things within your home.
Protecting your home from danger can be something so simple as locking all doors and windows. Doing maintenance on electrical and heating systems would fall into the category of dangerous things in the home if not kept in good working order. More advanced security against danger could include insallation of fire alarms, security cameras, or even locked gates for driveways or armed guards. Losses of items from your home can be secured by security safes
, lock boxes, or outside security measures such as guard dogs, wireless security systems, and motion lights. All the above measures are good security measures against criminals.
Your home security needs may be from a threat within your home and that is things that babies or small children can harm themselves with. A security measure then would be Child Proofing your home which can be done by yourself or a professional.
